I still vividly remember the excitement and nervousness I felt as I transitioned into my first job as a new family nurse practitioner. After so many years of education and clinical training to advance my nursing career, I was eager yet anxious to take on more independent patient care responsibilities. Now, decades later, I am incredibly grateful for the experiences and growth that first transitional year provided, though it was filled with expected and unexpected challenges.
